Dancer
Dance has & will always be my first love and being onstage is when I feel truly free
Dancing is bigger than the physical body. Think bigger than that. When you extend your arm, it doesn't stop at the end of your fingers, because you're dancing bigger than that. You're dancing spirit.
- Judith Jamison

Zoë has been dancing professionally since 2017, her dance training spans from Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Heels and commercial choreography. She joined several pre-professional training companies such as the OIP Dance Company and DARK Dance Company to expand her training while attending the University of Toronto where she acquired a Bachelor of Arts.(Hons.), majoring in Political Science with a minor in History and Creative Expression. She has been a featured dancer in Disney’s Sneakerella, “Free Up! Emancipation Day”, a CBC special celebrating Black Canadian artists, Fashion Art Toronto, DanceOntario, Raptor’s & Maple Leaf’s Half time shows. She has performed at Canadian Tire’s 100 Year Anniversary, dancing and singing behind Deborah Cox, Michael Buble and Jann Arden. Zoë has also had the opportunity to choreograph for local music artists. You can see her creative direction and choreography featured in Nicole Chambers’ music video “Warm Body” and she’s had the chance to choreograph two music videos and multiple live performances for Unica an up-and-coming pop/R&B artist.
Zoë has expanded her craft to directing and premiered her short dance film “AGAPE” which she also choreographed, and danced in, at the Experimental, Music & Dance Festival where it took home the award for “Best Film” for the spring season in 2022. When Zoë isn’t performing, she facilitates dance workshops with the Nia Centre, sharing her knowledge with youth who are interested in expanding their knowledge of movement.
